Prolly either through hours and hours of PUG/Guild groups in elite areas as part of a balanced team.

Or..

They prolly have another Monk char or something similar

Rangers are great to play and one of the most fun profs in the game, but thier def not money makers ^^ Some people might argue trapping and the likes but compared to 55/SS its slow

Rangers can farm a lot of things...

But I don't know where or how. I know it was possible to trap in UW/Stygian Veil, it's still possible to go dual/trio in DoA/Hidden City of Ahdashim (?), trap/Famine for greens, get into team in Deep/Urgoz (as either trapper or tank ;d)... But I got a lot more with Monk (about 100k) or Ritualist (70-80k) or even Assassin (40-60k) than with Ranger.

Ways my Ranger made money in the past.....

1. Barrager in ToPK when it was new-ish and the end greens were worth quite abit.

2. Trapping in UW for ectos.

3. Touching up (Touch Ranger) Faction bosses for their greens.

Prior to the EW nerf, was trapping in Stygian Veil for the gems. Next farming exercise for my ranger will be playing Famine ranger in the Foundry for Titan gems.

I agree with what's already mentioned. They probably have other money making characters. My monk is my main provider.

Duo'ing Stygian in HM still works great.

Maybe they just made a lot of money and just happen to be playing their ranger?

Just Lucky perhaps. Some players did get a green second birthday present, plenty of Superior Vigors or they bought 200 black dyes right after a price-reset.

I'd have to say I see most richy's as Monks. Don't really notice/care for rangers armor (which can show a hint of richness) all that much

If they're rich, they probably spent a long time playing. If they spent a long time playing, its likely they have other characters on that account.

I bet one of the other characters is the money maker. Just because you see them play as a ranger doesn't mean they use it to farm.
